For anyone taking the Visual Arts Content Test, DePaul doesn't have a study guide for it. I just took the test.

If you are taking it soon, most of it is common sense and things you've discussed during critiques in art classes; such as: Why did the artist choose to use drastic contrast in the painting? There are some questions on artist intent, classroom practices, techniques, identifying the culture a particular sculpture came from (I really didn't like these ones), and some graphic design questions.

You don't have to know artists and work, just the ideas and practices behind the work. I felt like a lot of the questions could have had two right answers so I hope I did well. If anyone has any other questions about the test feel free to contact me.
